I’ve been a big fan of Naomi Duguid’s cookbooks for years now, and her newest,Burma: Rivers of Flavor, looks to be her best yet. Full of flavor-packed recipes featuring some of my favorite ingredients (I love fish sauce), the book is also a photo journal and travelogue from her many trips to a country few get to visit. It would be delicious fun to armchair travel to Burma with Duguid as my guide, and I already have my fantasy meal all picked out: Punchy-Crunchy Ginger Salad, Lemongrass-Ginger Sliders (I’m also a ginger addict), and Perfumed Coconut Rice. Or the meal-in-a-bowl Coconut Sauce Noodles with fish balls.Or the Sweet-Tart Pork Belly Stew… it’s impossible to choose.
