This quick, weeknight menu has all the hallmarks of lazy, easy Chesapeake summer:crab, corn,peaches, tomatoes, and a decadent (but no-churn)ice cream. Though most of the menu comes together in 40 minutes, the ice cream does need time to harden in the freezer. No time for that? Simply swirl raspberry jam into slightly softened lemon ice cream.

Menu Timeline

6 Hours Ahead

Make and freeze ice cream.

40 Minutes Ahead

Slice and marinate the peaches.

30 Minutes Ahead

Mix and refrigerate the crab cake mixture.

Cut the lettuce and make the lime sour cream.

20 Minutes Ahead

Cook the crab cakes.

Slice the tomatoes and assemble the salad.
